In this guide, we will show you how to use Screening in the TransferRIP.
This will enable printing of Photographic work.

Forever TransferRIP

Download the image from the link above and proceed to "Step 5: Print and Screen settings".

If you're printing onto a Dark Substrate : select "Use screening as configured as a Mask, recommend for a Dark Media".
If you're printing onto a Light Substrate : select "Use screening as configured as a Mask, recommend for a Light Media".

For our example image, select "... Dark Media" and print the resulting transfer onto a black t-shirt.

Shadow Tolerance

This setting is important when using Masks.

The higher you set the value; the more dark colours are removed (Dark Media) or more light colours are removed (Light Media)

For our example image, set the value to 120.

Dot Shape

- Euclidian (click Here for a preview)

- Round (click Here for a preview)

- Square (click Here for a preview)

- Line (click Here for a preview)

- Elliptical (click Here for a preview at 20%)

- Pincushion (click Here for a preview at 20%)

- Rhombus (click Here for a preview)

- FM 2nd Generation (click Here for a preview at 5x5)

For our example image, set Dot Shape to FM 2nd generation 5x5.

Highlights

For our example image, set this to 0.

Shadows

For our example image, set this to 100.

Preview

Click the preview button.

Check "All Separations Black" so that it's active and the resulting view you are seeing is the print all in black; and the substrate all in white.

Preview Individual Colours

Select a colour, such as SpotColor White and the tick All Separations 'Black'

This will then show you where the white is being put down.

When you are happy, make sure untick All Separations 'Black' and close the window.
